I so have a 'real' life - not spent online. LOL
So, I went out Friday night with W and didn't go home until 10AM of Saturday. Don't ask anymore, all I can say is that it was wonderful. LMAO
With only two hours of sleep, I went home to meet my roommates for brunch. We got ready after that and did errands before going to Eastwood to meet college friends, who we last saw in January!!! There were six of us: me, A, C, B, J, and Md. Two missed it because of some stuff. Those were K and G.
B is 8months pregnant so everyone in our clique was excited about the baby boy. They haven't thought of a name yet and B's boyfriend, J, thought of "Quasar." I don't think it's a bad name, but not at all great. Hehe I mean, Come on, J and B are both Chinese descent. I still, of course, wish them all the best.
We spent the afternoon over takuyaki and then Italian for dinner.
Md, who used to have the same work as me and A told a very funny story on how she had to translate "barking" into three languages. Her student didn't know the meaning of 'bark' so she gave a sample, first in Filipino, which was "aw aw." The student didn't understand that. So, she translated it into English -"arf-arf." No use. Her coworkers were already asking why she was barking on the phone. It was so hilarious when she told us the story that me and C laughed so hard our stomachs hurt. Anyway, she later on got the Korean bark "mong-mong."
We strolled back and forth the two shopping malls there until around 10PM when we decided to let B get her rest.
Before going home, I saw locally-made real snakeskin wallets in a trade fair there and it was cheaper than usual. However, I was really low on cash and much lower on credit that time that I asked for their business card instead. I'll give them a call ASAP. Haha.
I spent Saturday night at home for sleep.
Sunday was the usual grocery shopping.
That was until W asked me if we can watch "Astroboy." It was originally planned for Saturday night but there were conflicts and we forewent it that time. W wanted to watch it still so we went to the last screening at G4 - good thing it was at 10:30 PM and W had work until 9PM. Anyway, it was all fun and the movie was nice, i mean it's animation so the coolness of the effects was as expected. The story was entertaining and there were witty dialogues here and there. I have long liked Astroboy and I even thought of buying an Astroboy bag before. LOL An enjoyable night, nonetheless.
Before going home, I passed by the PC room where roommate M was waiting for me. I just checked out messages and stuff. It was when I realized that I can actually live a life without too much connection to the virtual reality of social networks. I still prefer going out with friends - with or without pictures or updates on Twitter. =)
Have a great week ahead, y'all!!!
